Europe Program Migration Intern, German Marshall Fund – Berlin, Germany

The GMF Berlin office is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented intern with an interest in migration, refugee and integration policy to support our team on our current projects, logistically and content-wise. The internship will focus on gaining in depth knowledge of GMF’s programming on migration, and offers an ideal opportunity to acquire substantive professional experience working in an international, knowledge-sharing environment with world experts on political issues and on migration policy.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Supporting the program staff in a variety of tasks such as conducting research on current migration policy, political events and trends (including refugee policies, labor migration and current political developments);
Assisting in event planning and event implementation;
Adding new entries to database (training will be provided);
Various administrative tasks;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Fluency in English and German required;
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, combined with the ability to work well under pressure;
Excellent research and writing skills;
An undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in political science, public policy, public administration, event management, communications or related field;
Demonstrated interest in migration/integration policy issues;
Very Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
Start and Length of Internship:

Preferred starting dates: April 2018

Preferred length of internship: 3 months

Compensation: Stipend of 450€/month
