The Kemp for Governor Campaign needs dedicated Campaign Interns for the 2018 General Election
cycle. Students will gain valuable experience with field operations and get a behind-the-scenes look at
political field organizing.
If you’re looking to expand your interpersonal skills, phone skills, gain political campaign experience, or
expand your knowledge of the political process, then this is the internship for you.
Who Can Apply?
Any high school or college student who is looking to earn experience in the political field.
Campaign Intern Responsibilities:
Campaign Interns will be responsible for assisting the Political Team and other campaign
staff with expanding the statewide volunteer network and executing the campaign plan.
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Serving as a valued and critical member of the Kemp Campaign team
Working in the field and supporting components of the campaign plan including data
entry, helping at events, writing letters to the editor, phone banking, door-to-door
canvassing and volunteer recruitment
Performing administrative work as necessary
Qualifications and Requirements:
Commitment to electing Secretary Brian Kemp to be Georgia’s next governor
Ability to demonstrate and reflect integrity, accountability, respect and excellence
Desire to learn and/or gain a better understanding of the political process
Strong writing and verbal communication skills
Integrity within a professional environment
Ability to meet goals and strict deadlines
Organized and quick learner
Expectations:
Commitment of at least 8 hours per week
Must have access to a smartphone and/or laptop
Must have reliable transportation
