Call for Applications: NATO Transformation Seminar Young Professionals Day

“Are you a leading young professional, aged 25–35, a citizen of a NATO Member Country or NATO Partner Country, and engaged in the key political and security debates confronting us today? Then the NATO Allied Command Transformation, in collaboration with the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), welcomes you to apply to join our Young Professionals Day, to be held on 21 March 2017 in Budapest, Hungary. The Young Professionals Day will draw together 40 participants from across the Alliance and Partner Countries and provide them with the unique opportunity to influence policy and build networks. Participants will engage with senior decision-makers and thought leaders, and will be able to enhance their knowledge of NATO’s mission. The Young Professionals Day will take place immediately before the 2017 NATO Transformation Seminar, also held in Budapest. This seminar, bringing together NATO’s senior leadership, will stimulate debate surrounding NATO’s transformation agenda and the actions needed to safeguard the safety and security of NATO Allies. A select number of Young Professionals Day participants will be invited to join the NATO Transformation Seminar. Travel (economy class) and daily expenses (including accommodation) will be covered by the IISS.

If you believe that you should be among the 40 young professionals helping to shape the debate on NATO’s transformation agenda, you are encouraged to submit your application by sending a one-page cover letter outlining your motivations along with your CV by Friday 10 February at 5pm GMT to nato2017@iiss.org.
