The Spanish Ministry of Education is sponsoring openings for U.S. Language and Culture Assistants in Spain for the 2018-2019 school year.
There are more than 2,000 positions available all over Spain for university graduates or undergraduates who have completed at least two full years of university. The positions are offered in K-12 public schools and in public language schools. Assistants will receive a minimum monthly allowance of 700€ (~$750) and will also be provided with medical insurance. The duration of the program is usually 8 months, October 2018 to May 2019. Positions will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
The assistants will work in close connection with experienced Spanish teachers and are meant to collaborate mostly in teaching English oral skills. They will have the opportunity to learn about the Spanish language and culture and develop a cultural understanding between the citizens of Spain and the U.S. Over 2,500 assistants are currently part of this program in Spain.
