Georgia Tech and KSU have a new Noyce Scholarship

Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State University (KSU) have a new Noyce Scholarship that is available to Tech seniors who want to become certified math teachers (grades 6-12). Tech students will graduate from Tech and then apply to and complete the 1-year Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Math at KSU. The scholarship is worth up to $20,000 ($10,000 during the senior year at Tech, and $10,000 during the MAT year at KSU).

Who can apply now? Tech seniors who are US citizens/permanent residents; have a GPA of 3.0 or higher; have taken a minimum of Calc I, II, III and one additional math course; will graduate by the end of Spring 2010 and want to enroll in the KSU MAT program in the Summer of 2010.
