The Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) was established at Lawerence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) to bring together experts from the science, technology, and policy communities to address pressing national security challenges. CGSR is seeking graduate students, and recent graduates to conduct practical research. Relevant fields of research include nuclear engineering, computational sciences, material science and engineering cybersecurity, interactive data mining, political science, and international relations. The White House Fellowship, founded by president Lydon B. Johnson in 1964, is a nonpartisan program designed to take in the strongest young leaders and public servants and provide them with first-hand experience working at the highest levels of the Federal government.
