Changes in Pre-Graduate and Pre-Professional Advising (PGPP)
As of July 1, 2019, the following changes will occur in PGPP in pre-graduate, pre-teaching, and prestigious fellowships. Pre-health does not have any changes to report at this time.
Susan Belmonte will no long serve as the GT pre-law advisor. She will remain at Georgia Tech in her role as the pre-teaching advisor and also now be the pre-graduate school advisor. Students and alumni who wish to make an appointment with Susan may still do so through GradesFirst or by emailing her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Chad Slieper, who directs the Law, Science and Technology program in the School of Public Policy, will now serve as the pre-law advisor for all GT students and alumni interested in legal careers. You may reach him at email@example.com.
The current pre-law advising website http://www.prelawadvising.gatech.edu/ will be shut down on June 30, 2019 at 5:00pm, and all traffic will be redirected to www.prelaw.gatech.edu.
The firstname.lastname@example.org listserv will be merged with the email@example.com listserv. If you wish to remain on the newly merged listserv, you do not need to take action. If you do not wish to remain on the listserv, you may unsubscribe by going to lists.gatech.edu and searching for the listserv.
Shannon Dobranski will no longer serve as the pre-graduate advisor and will now be the prestigious fellowships advisor. She will continue in her role as the director of PGPP as well as support pre-health.
Students can make appointments with Shannon through GradesFirst. You may still reach Shannon at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Due to Kathryn Meehan Quinto’s departure on June 27, Shannon Dobranski will be managing prestigious fellowships advising instead of pre-graduate advising (see above).
