Fall 2017 Course: DOPP 2001 “Preparing to Work in the Global Economy”

Thinking about interning abroad at some point before graduation? Consider registering for a one-credit course next fall called “Preparing to Work in the Global Economy”. This course will help you jumpstart your global internship search and will provide the tools and skills you need to be successful in an overseas work environment. It is geared toward students who intend to intern abroad in the near future. Ideal students for this course include first, second, and third year undergraduates; students who wish to participate in the Global Internship Program; students who are in the International Plan; students with a desire to work internationally in the near future. We will cover topics such as intercultural communication, differences in cultural work styles, internationalizing one’s resume, leadership in intercultural settings, and more!
