The H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) seeks a creative, energetic, and motivated student to work with its marketing/communications staff. If you enjoy writing and want to help showcase the many stories coming out of ISyE, please apply for this student assistant position.
In this role, you will primarily be responsible for writing features that will appear on the ISyE website and social media, and in the annual ISyE alumni magazine. Content will include articles on students, faculty, and research, as well as other ISyE-related programs.
In addition to writing stories, you may contribute background research for stories and projects being written by the ISyE communications staff. Some social media writing may also be involved.
A high comfort level with Microsoft Office Suite is necessary for this position. Interviewing skills and familiarity with social media are a plus. You will be trained in AP style and Institute Communication’s brand/style guidelines.
We are looking for a student, preferably a second- or third-year undergraduate, who can start in early January and ideally continue through the summer. The student should also be a self-starter and conscientious about working remotely.
Hours: 12-15 hours/week
