PHAP is a paid, competitive, two-year training program for early-career public health professionals. Associates are employed and paid by CDC and work at state, tribal, local, and territorial public health departments; nongovernmental organizations; public health institutes and associations; community-based organizations; and academic institutions.

CDC’s Public Health Associate Program (PHAP) is seeking exceptional recent college graduates interested in public health careers. The 2023 associate application period is January 23–February 3.
