Department of Defense College Acquisition Internship – Multiple Locations

The DoD College Acquisition Internship Program is a paid, 10-week summer internship that provides students with real-world exposure to Department of Defense acquisition workforce career opportunities. The program is geared toward full-time second and third year students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university. Interns will receive hands-on, practical experience in analysis, research, report writing, oral briefings, policy development, program analysis, and computer applications.

Students will have the opportunity to perform their internships within the following agencies: Missile Defense AgencyDefense Contract Audit AgencyDefense Contract Management Agency, or Naval Sea Systems Command. Students selected will be placed in an agency according to the geographic locations annotated in their application.

The DoD College Acquisition Internship Program has two tracks for student interns—engineering/technical and program analyst/non-technical—depending on the student’s major and career interests. Students in all degree fields are invited to apply. Students majoring in engineering and STEM fields will be placed in the Technical track, Engineering. Students majoring in non-STEM fields will be placed in the Non-technical track, Program Analyst.

Students will work full-time (40 hours/week) over 10 consecutive weeks between June and August 2019. There may be opportunities to work over Winter break, based on the agency’s need and student’s availability.
