Fall Internship, World Affairs Council of Atlanta – Atlanta, GA

Are you passionate about international affairs? Looking for new ways to network? Join the World Affairs Council of Atlanta Fall Internship Program!

The World Affairs Council of Atlanta, a non-profit, non-partisan organization affiliated with the Washington, D.C.-based World Affairs Councils of America and Georgia State University, accepts undergraduate students as research and program interns each academic semester, including summers. Many interns are on the research team working on the Robinson Country Intelligence Index (RCII), a unique, interactive tool that measures country risk across different dimensions. Other interns are part of the program and membership team working on expanding council membership by delivering relevant and impactful programs that inform and challenge new thinking about global issues. All interns focus on highlighting Atlanta’s growing role in international affairs and business.

All interns should have a strong interest in political-economic leadership, country risk, corporate social responsibility, and, most importantly, the most pressing issues shaping international affairs in the 21st Century. Interns should have excellent computer and writing skills, be creative and highly motivated, and have the ability to work as a team player on multiple projects.

Expectations include a commitment of a minimum of 16 hours per week. Though the internship is unpaid, those accepted may be eligible for course credit as determined by their academic department.

Our mission is to create a forum for informed discussion of global affairs that inspires Atlanta to lead globally, and YOU can help us achieve this.

The internship will provide you with first-hand experience and knowledge of global issues that impact Atlanta. From setting up luncheons for foreign Presidents and Ambassadors, to arranging evening briefings with renowned C-suite execs from UPS, Home Depot, and Coca-Cola, The Council will help you develop professional skills and establish valuable connections.
