Fall Policy Fellow, Foreign Policy for America (Washington, DC)

ABOUT THE POSITION

Foreign Policy for America’s Policy Fellows program offers a unique opportunity to contribute to debates over the future of American foreign policy ahead of the 2020 election.

Policy Fellows play a central role in supporting our work, including researching legislation and statements by elected officials, monitoring news and debates around U.S. foreign policy decisionmaking, and producing daily and weekly briefs for our members. Policy Fellows also have the opportunity to contribute to other aspects of Foreign Policy for America’s work, including drafting action alerts to mobilize grassroots activism, coordinating events with top foreign policy leaders, and engaging with congressional and presidential campaign teams.

This is an unpaid position, but Fellows receive modest stipends for living expenses.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successful applicants will be enthusiastic, highly motivated individuals with strong academic backgrounds and interest in U.S. foreign policy and related politics.

  • Strong writing skills are a must.

  • Previous campaign or Capitol Hill experience is a plus.

  • Ability to work full-time is a plus.
