Game Economist Internship, Activision – Santa Monica, CA

Your Mission
Run field experiments, determine causal inference, model demand, and build simulations of complex in-game economies.
Support econometric analysis of experimental and observational data.
Develop metrics and monitor the health of a live multimillion-dollar service business.
Build economic models to forecast revenue and player activity.
Spend a summer in Santa Monica, CA.

Player Profile
Currently enrolled in a bachelors, masters, or PhD program working towards a degree in both economics and applied math (coursework in econometrics and statistics preferred).
Fluent in analysis software such as R or Python as well as SQL.
Business-savvy/entrepreneurial (we are managing a live revenue stream) and have experience working with big data.
Have the ability to apply training to real-world issues with real-world deadlines.
Can communicate clearly with non-technical audiences about economic impacts on game design, monetization, user acquisition, and player engagement.
A passion for gaming.
