HHS Office of Inspector General Hiring Update – Summer 2023

HHS OIG will be able to hire for a summer intern position in the very near term (we expect to announce the position within the next week or two).  As a reminder, summer interns are for current students only (they must remain students throughout the summer internship).

To ensure that students/alums from your program are aware of who OEI is and what we do without being able to do a recruitment event, I’ve included some links below to better explain us and our work.

Our office, the Office of Evaluation and Inspections (OEI), is a subcomponent of the Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the Department of Health and Human Services.  We strive to protect the integrity of Federal programs and the health and welfare of the individuals these programs serve.  Our evaluations synthesize high-quality research that promote positive change throughout all types of HHS programs (Medicare, Medicaid, CDC, FDA, NIH, and more).  Our work helps fight and stop health care fraud, waste, and abuse throughout the country; protect vulnerable populations; and ensure the quality of health care services nationwide.

As internships and jobs are posted they will be shared widely.
