The IAC Career Educators have coordinated site visits to local Atlanta organizations for all IAC majors to learn more about the various career paths and company culture. March 11th we will be visiting Search Discovery. Transportation and lunch will be provided. Trips like this can provide a significant experience related to students’ career development. Even if you are not interested in employment at this company, this IAC Career Trek will provide participants with great insight into the mind of a recruiter, what office spaces might look like, and how to set yourself up for success in your job or internship search.
The deadline to apply for this opportunity is Tuesday, March 8, at Noon.
The 30 selected participants will be notified and provided with a class excuse letter verifying that they are attending the Career Trek, however, it is up to participants to have a conversation with professors about this opportunity.
If you apply, are selected, and no show, your CareerBuzz account will be blocked, and you will be required to submit an apology letter to the employer. To unblock your CareerBuzz account, you will be required to meet with Kyle or Camille to discuss professionalism. If you notify Camille (firstname.lastname@example.org) at least 24 hours before the Career Trek, you will not be subject to these consequences.
