Once you have an offer letter, contact Stephanie Jackson before Wednesday, August 21, 2019 to make arrangements.

To be considered, please send a cover letter and resume to aturano@georgia.org.

The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) is the state’s sales and marketing arm: the lead agency for attracting new business investment, encouraging the expansion of existing industry and small businesses, locating new markets for Georgia products, attracting tourists to Georgia and promoting the state as a location for film and digital entertainment projects, as well as planning and mobilizing state resources for economic development.

Georgia’s International Relations team strengthens Georgia’s reputation as a welcoming location for international business and tourism by strategically cultivating and expanding Georgia’s international relationships. The office oversees communications and activities with foreign governments and is the state’s liaison to members of the Consular Corps. The division also manages the Governor’s trade and investment missions, welcomes international delegations and dignitaries, provides community outreach and education opportunities, and coordinates international efforts among state departments and agencies.

International Relations intern:

You will work with the Department’s International Relations team on projects that may include company, city and regional project-specific research and writing; helping to implement new processes; organizing and editing briefing book material and preparing shipments to international destinations; proofreading and updating documents and website information; and assisting with incoming international VIP missions, delegations and meetings. The ideal candidate will be working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in international business, international affairs, or a closely related field. Ability to speak a foreign language and experience living abroad is a plus. He or she must be highly attentive to detail, write clearly and compellingly, have an understanding of basic marketing and communications concepts, be exceedingly responsible and reliable, have the ability to multi-task and have a high degree of self-initiative.
