Young Professionals in Foreign Policy, Y7 and Y20 Leadership Summits

Y7:

The Y7 is a leadership summit that convenes young professionals from G7 countries to develop policy solutions to current global challenges.

This year’s Y7 Summit will take place from June 10-June 15, 2019 in Paris, France and the official organizing entity is Open Diplomacy Institute. Note, the U.S. Y7 delegation does not represent the U.S. federal government in any official capacity.

YPFP will select four American delegates to represent American youth voices.

The Y7 Organizing Committee, Open Diplomacy, will provide all in-country accommodations (local transportation, lodging, and meals) for delegates during the course of the summit.

Delegates are responsible for arranging, booking, and covering the costs of their travel to and from Paris. Each delegate will receive $200 from YPFP to cover the cost of the flight to Paris. Additional funds raised through Y7 application fees will be given to each delegate to support flight-related expenses.

The priorities of 2019 Y7 Paris focus on four areas:

  • Economic inequalities
  • Environmental inequalities
