Call for Student Papers: Norman Paterson School Review of International Affairs

The Norman Paterson School of International Affairs is pleased to announce that we are now accepting papers for our 2020 edition of the Paterson Review.
This Issue of the Paterson Review of International Affairs aims to bring together an interdisciplinary collection of papers from graduate students of international affairs that explore how to unpack and make sense of this shifting geopolitical landscape.
We are particularly interested in papers that cultivate dialogue between various disciplines as this presents opportunities to better understand the current moment.
Guidelines for submissions

To apply, please submit a 250-word abstract by February 28th. Submissions and inquiries should be emailed to

Selected authors will be invited to present their papers at a workshop to be convened on March 28, 2020, at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University, Ottawa.
In your submission, please indicate your interest in presenting at the workshop. For selected papers, fully developed drafts (3000-5000 words) are due by March 21st, so discussants have time to review the papers. Authors unable to attend the workshop are still encouraged to submit abstracts for papers to be considered for the Paterson Review.
