Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge | October 30-31 | Register by October 9

The Digital and Cyber Group at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) is hosting the fifth annual and first fully virtual NYC Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge on October 30 and 31, 2020.

Started and co-hosted by the Atlantic Council, the Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge is a competition designed to provide students across academic disciplines with a deeper understanding of the policy challenges associated with cyber crisis and conflict through a simulation exercise.

Part competitive scenario, part interactive learning experience, Cyber 9/12 is an opportunity for students to hone their policy and crisis management skills by crafting policy solutions to address a cyber catastrophe. Taking place the day after a hypothetical crisis, this challenge pushes teams across disciplines to respond to a realistic, and ever-evolving cyber attack while assessing the threat it poses to national, international, and private sector interests, alike.

With two days of competition, interactive expert panels, and career networking, there’s something here for every digital and cyber enthusiast!

Teams interested in registering can sign up by midnight on October 9 or check out the event website at www.sipadcg.org for more information.

Please reach out to NYC Cyber 9/12 Director, Danielle Murad at dm3529@columbia.edu with further questions.
