The second-annual Global Climate Action Symposium will bring together a wide range of experts to showcase climate change engagement by local student activists, scientists and engineers, business and policy experts, and artists. Jointly sponsored by Georgia Tech and 6 European consulates during European Climate Diplomacy Week, the event will be held virtually, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Symposium themes are as follows:
October 6 – Climate & Ecosystems
October 7 – Environmental Justice & Climate Justice
October 8 – COVID-19 & Green Recovery

Showcase your work at the second-annual Global Climate Action Symposium this October! We are looking for both undergraduate and graduate students to submit lightning talks to be featured during the second-annual Global Climate Action Symposium. The symposium will bring together a wide range of experts to showcase climate change engagement by local student activists, scientists and engineers, business and policy experts, and artists. Jointly sponsored by Georgia Tech and European consulates during European Climate Diplomacy Week, the event will be held virtually in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are currently calling for talks that fit under the following three themes:
- Climate & Ecosystems
- Environmental & Climate Justice
- COVID-19 & Green Recovery
Students will be asked to submit a 2-3 minute, pre-recorded presentation. Selected students will have their work featured during the Global Climate Action Symposium, and will be asked to serve on a live Q&A panel. All students will have their pre-recorded presentation featured on the web.
