Project On Nuclear Issues Conference Series | Apply Now!

STRATCOM Academic Alliance member Project on Nuclear Issues (PONI) will press ahead with its 2020 annual conference series and seeks presenters for its Summer session.  This first conference will occur virtually the week of 22 June in partnership with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

Undergrad, Masters, and Ph.D. students, as well as post-Docs and Fellows are encouraged to apply!  PONI welcomes presentations on all topics possessing a nuclear nexus, including arms control, deterrence, nuclear nonproliferation, emerging technology, among others.  Selected summer conference presenters will serve on a virtual panel with colleagues and a moderator.

Summer conference application deadline is 10 May, but PONI accepts applications on a rolling basis for future conferences.  The best presenters of the 2020 series are invited to the Capstone Conference in Spring 2021.  Held at U.S. Strategic Command, Capstone Conference invitees present their research to, and interact with STRATCOM leadership and strategic deterrence practitioners.

Please encourage rising talent within your networks to submit a proposal and a letter of recommendation to Reja Younis at ryounis@csis.org.  For additional information visit the PONI website at https://nuclearnetwork.csis.org/apply/conference-series/
