Diplomacy: African American Perspectives

State Department Diplomats in Residence is hosting a panel discussion on life and service as an African-American diplomat. The featured speaker is Ambassador Larry Palmer, former Ambassador to Honduras, and Barbados, and the eastern Caribbean. He will discuss his career and life as an African American in U.S. Foreign Service.  A panel of current Diplomats-in-Residence will provide information about State Department careers and student programs (internships/fellowships/study abroad opportunities) — especially those aimed at increasing the diversity of the U.S. Foreign Service.

This event will take place virtually on March 27, 2021, from 1 pm to 3 pm EST.
