U.S Department of State : Inside U.S. Foreign Policy Webinar

The State Department’s USA Study Abroad division, and its Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship program hosting a free virtual webinar series to allow undergraduate and graduate students the chance to get an inside look into U.S. Foreign Policy.

Through seven seminars, each focused on a specific world region, participants will learn directly from civil and foreign service officers about the State Department’s foreign policy goals for that region, how offices in Washington., D.C., and U.S. embassies and consulates overseas work to further these goals, and how this work impacts Americans.

Each seminar will also include a panel of Gilman alumni working in the region, who will discuss their careers, and a breakout networking session. The seminars will last three hours each and be followed by an optional 30-minute informational session on a variety of careers within the U.S. State Department.
