The Georgia Republican Party is pleased to offer full-time and part-time internships for the Summer Semester of 2014. With the critical elections of 2014 upon us, the GAGOP is gearing up to spread our conservative message across the state. Interns will gain hands-on experience and first hand insight into grassroots organization, campaigns, elections, and political strategy. The GAGOP is seeking interns whose responsibilities will include:
- Participating in election activities, including community outreach, grassroots and membership development.
- Assisting in planning and execution of GAGOP fundraising events.
- Engaging actively in day-to-day party operations, such as legislative research and clerical work.
- Gaining unique experience by interacting with a broad range of local party leaders, campaigns, and grassroots organizations.
This is a great opportunity for students to gain a wide range of experience that will translate to many different career paths. We are looking for students majoring in political science, communications, business, computer science, international studies, and accounting, but all majors are encouraged to apply. We have a wide array of internships that can benefit most fields of study. The Georgia Republican Party is happy to cooperate with an intern’s college or university to provide class credit for their work. Interested applicants should apply for the internship by emailing their resumes to Andrew Lajeunesse at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Internship start dates are flexible based on students’ school schedules. Our office is located at 3110 Maple Drive NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30305. If you are not able to commute to our Atlanta office, please indicate what area of the state in which you live. Other internship opportunities may be available throughout the state. All internships with the Georgia Republican Party are volunteer positions.
