SUMMER 2021 CAPAL Public Service Internship & Scholarship Program

The Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership is seeking  Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander youth to build a pipeline for public service and representation throughout all levels of government.

Available Positions
  • DC Public Service Internships
    • This program places undergraduate and graduate students within the public sector of the Washington DC area to perform duties such as policy or scientific research, project coordination and management, business, law, communications, etc. Open to students of ALL MAJORS.
  • Public Service Field Internships
    • Undergraduate and graduate students are placed in public sector positions throughout the United States to perform duties such as conducting field research, performing local site-visits, and presenting their findings to various partners.
Public Service Scholarship

CAPAL awards this scholarship to undergraduate and graduate students who will be serving as unpaid public service interns in the Washington DC area. These scholarships are meant to enable students with outstanding leadership potential to work full-time and learn ways to influence their local communities and the AANHPI community.

  • Letter of recommendation
  • Academic Transcript
