Information about Clinton Foundation internships

“We are excited that you are considering applying for an internship at the Clinton Foundation!

We divide our internships into five functions:

  1. Programs and Initiatives
  2. Communications
  3. Logistics
  4. Technology
  5. Clinton Presidential Center

Within each function there are specific areas of interest and within each area of interest there are specific departments (see our available internships). The application requires that you (1) choose your areas of interest and (2) prioritize your departments of choice in your short essay. Please review the options and be prepared with your selections before beginning the application process.

Qualifications:

The Internship Program at the Clinton Foundation is geared towards current or rising undergraduate seniors, graduate students, and postgraduates who are in good academic standing. On some occasions, we do accept sophomores and juniors pursuing their undergraduate degree.”

COMMUNICATIONS/MARKETING

“The Communications (Press) Department interns gain hands-on experience in the management of Clinton Foundation press inquiries and materials, and incoming correspondence. These interns will have the opportunity to observe team members as they prepare communications materials (print, video, and television) for various audiences (press, participants, and the general public). Additionally, interns will learn to draft and edit press releases, draft media pitches, build media lists, manage inquires and invitations, conduct research, brainstorm new media opportunities, collaborate on features about CGI members, and participate in many other aspects of press outreach and communications. Interns will gain exposure to media monitoring and strategy.”

 

HEALTH

“The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Commitments – Global Health team works collaboratively to identify, develop, and execute smarter solutions to old and new health challenges such as preventing disease and prolonging life through promoting global health. The intern in this department will assist/shadow CGI team members with research, observe how ongoing and new commitments are tracked and database accuracy is maintained, observe meetings with CGI members, and learn best practices in drafting/editing of official commitment text.”

CLIMATE/ENVIRONMENT

“The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) America interns will assist/shadow CGI Working Group managers with research related to pressing domestic energy efficiency and clean energy issues seen through the lens of US economic recovery. Focus areas include green building, infrastructure, clean fuels, and renewable energy. Interns will also obtain hands-on learning and experience in the process of assisting with the identification and recruitment of relevant thought leaders and practitioners, supporting Commitment to Action development, managing data, and coordinating scheduling and event logistics.”
