The Regional Organization for Peace, Economics & Security (ROPES) is a new NGO that seeks to advance a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by building relationships between emerging leaders from Israel and the Arab world. They are seeking interns for the following areas: Development, Event Coordination, and Arab Outreach.
The exact internship and application dates are TBD.
Responsibilities
Development Intern
- Working with the ROPES team and the ROPES advisory board to identify funding opportunities and craft relevant proposals
- Liaising with like-minded NGOs in the region in order to assess opportunities for synergy
- Desired Skills:
- Fundraising, especially among the Jewish community and/or Arab/Muslim communities
- Grant-writing skills
- Accounting proficiency is a plus
Event Coordinator
- Helping design, plan, and execute ROPES’s second in-person summit in Athens for young leaders
- Helping to organize, along with other like-minded NGOs in the region, a large event planned in Dubai in March 2022
- Desired Skills:
- Event planning experience

- Arabic and/or Greek language skills are a plus
- Knowledge of or experience with the UAE or Dubai, in particular, is a plus
Arab Outreach Intern
- Help expand the network within various Arab communities throughout the Middle East
- Coordinate with other NGOs in the region to find opportunities for synergy
- Desired Skills:
- Arabic language skills
- Research skills
General Qualifications
Applicants must have excellent logistical and interpersonal skills, as well as a working knowledge of the conflict and a passion for helping resolve it. They should be comfortable in a startup environment that involves multitasking, inherent uncertainty, and many moving parts. Knowledge of Hebrew and/or Arabic is helpful but not required. Preference will be given to candidates who are from the region (or have lived there).
