Émigré Memorial German Internship Program

Cultural Vistas is currently accepting student applications for the 2015 Émigré Memorial German Internship Program – German State Parliaments (“EMGIP-Landtag”). EMGIP was founded in 1965 as a transatlantic initiative to help build lasting ties between Germany and North America.

EMGIP offers internship opportunities at state parliaments (“Landtage”) across Germany’s 16 state capitals. The program encourages applications by U.S. and Canadian students who are planning to pursue a career in public service, or who are interested in specific public policy issues such as the environment, education, migration, and healthcare. Participants gain practical work experience with a state parliament, utilize their German skills at a professional level, and experience German political culture firsthand. U.S. citizens receive a monthly stipend of EUR 670 for up to three months.
