FALL 2021 The Counterterrorism Group Internships

The Counterterrorism Group (CTG) is dedicated to protecting individuals, organizations, personnel, and places against acts of terrorism by developing customized services and solutions that help deter, detect, and defeat terrorism. CTG is seeking applicants for their fall 2021 remote counterterrorism intelligence analysis internships. Inters are expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week with weekly check-ins. Onboarding will begin in August and internship training will being on September 1, 2021, and the program will run until December 31, 2021, with the possibility for an extension. This opportunity is unpaid.

As an intern with The Counterterrorism Group (CTG), you will have exposure to real projects and will play a crucial role in the decision-making of countering terrorism and various threats. The experience will include:

  • Mentoring
  • Group Intern learning experiences

  • Final “report out” with all other interns highlighting key learnings and summer experience

Available Positions

INTELLIGENCE EDITOR INTERN

CTG’s Intelligence Editor will work on the various Intelligence teams responsible for producing timely and actionable intelligence to meet our mission. They are looking for editors who can quickly develop an understanding of the intelligence cycle, analytical tools, and critical issues and threats that CTG focuses on. They are looking for a creative and critical thinker who is collaborative and able to work in a flexible, adaptable, demanding environment that encourages innovation and new ideas.

COUNTERTERRORISM INTELLIGENCE ANALYST INTERN

CTG’s Intelligence Analyst Intern will work on the various Intelligence teams to analyze large amounts of information and conduct investigations. The intern will be in charge of developing knowledge about the intentions, motivations, capabilities, plans, recruitment techniques, and leaders of terrorist organizations around the world.

COUNTERTERRORISM SPECIALIST INTERN

The Counterterrorism Group (CTG) Technical Development Team is looking for creative and innovative Interns to work on solutions that fight against terrorism and various global threats. Interns are expected to work remotely a minimum of 15 hours per week with weekly check-ins.
