The intern would be expected to work a minimum of twelve hours per week for a twelve-week period.  A stipend of $1000 is available upon successful completion of the internship.  If applicable, the internship can also be used toward course credit.  Under the supervision of GCIV staff, an intern will complete tasks such as:

  • Assist in coordinating professional appointments, logistical arrangements, cultural activities, and home hospitality for international visitors;
  • Help arrange GCIV community and educational programs;
  • Expand the current pool of resources through research; and
  • Share daily administrative chores (copying, filing, updating database).

A suitable candidate will be proficient in MS Office (including Access) and internet research.  S/he should have the ability to perform detail-oriented work under minimum supervision, strong communication and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a background in international affairs.  This position will allow the intern to interact with a wide variety of professionals in Atlanta and distinguished leaders from all over the world.  The intern will have the opportunity to participate in GCIV activities such as Global Lunch Forums and networking events.
