IMMEDIATE START Brazil Institute Internship

The Brazil Institute at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars seeks a graduate-level paid staff intern, to start immediately and continue through August 2021. This internship is designed to provide the individual selected with the opportunity for practical experience in an environment that successfully mixes academic study with public policy. The internship is paid at an hourly rate and interns must be available to work for a minimum of 20 hours a week in the spring and TRANSITION TO FULL-TIME THIS SUMMER. This internship may be extended past August 2021, if all parties agree and the eligibility requirements are still met at that point in time. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, this opportunity will be functioning remotely.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled. They are seeking an immediate start so those who apply earlier will have a better chance of receiving this opportunity.

The intern will be responsible for supporting a variety of projects, through event coordination, research, social media, editing, and some administrative assignments. The intern will also support the Senior Associate’s work on the Brazil-US Dialogue on Sustainability and Climate Change and other Brazil Institute initiatives.

Qualifications

Candidates must be one of the following:

  • currently enrolled in a graduate degree program,
  • a recent graduate (within the last year)
  • have been accepted to enter an advanced degree program.
