The Innovation Fund operates the Innovation in Teaching Competition – a recognition and reward opportunity for Georgia educators. The Innovation Fund Intern will report to the Innovation Fund Program Manager and collaborate with other GOSA staff as needed.
The intern will assist with the Innovation in Teaching Competition by traveling to schools across the state to film winning teachers, editing winning teachers’ unit plans, supplementary materials, and videos, and reviewing Innovation in Teaching Competition applications. The Innovation Fund Intern will also assist with other areas of the Innovation Fund and complete other duties as assigned.
Governor’s Honors Program Intern:
The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP) is a residential summer program for gifted and talented high school students who will be rising juniors and seniors during the program. The program offers instruction that is significantly different from the typical high school classroom. It is designed to provide students with academic, cultural, and social enrichment necessary to become the next generation of global critical thinkers, innovators, and leaders. GHP is held in mid-summer (mid-June to mid-July) as a residential educational experience on a college or university campus. Students attend classes in the mornings and afternoons in specific areas of study, and they participate in a wide variety of social and instructional opportunities every evening.
The intern will assist with the planning and preparation for the 2016 GHP summer program through filing, making copies of appropriate material, assisting with the GHP 2016 interview event, and assisting with quality checking student application materials. The GHP intern will also assist with other areas of GHP and complete other duties as assigned.
