Duties and responsibilities
Interns contribute approximately 35 hours per week to the Institute. They assist research staff in one of The Hague Institute’s three programs (Conflict Prevention; Rule of Law; Global Governance) with the following tasks:
- Research;
- Drafting of reports, policy briefs and other publications;
- Organization of expert meetings, policy-oriented conferences and high-level events;
- Administration.
Qualifications/Criteria for Selection
- At least a Bachelor’s level degree in the field of public international law, international relations, political sciences, conflict studies, or related disciplines. Applications from current undergraduates are also welcomed;
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission and objectives of The Hague Institute and a strong desire to work in the field of peace and justice;
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Knowledge of the English language (fluent) and preferably one other official language of the UN.
