“Exiger Diligence, the due diligence arm of Exiger, is currently hiring Research Interns at its Silver Spring, Maryland headquarters for the Spring 2017 semester. Exiger Diligence is looking for motivated and innovation-minded individuals from journalism, legal, international affairs or investigative backgrounds to play an important role in a dynamic and fast growing company. Exiger Diligence conducts comprehensive domestic and multi-lingual international public records research for a wide range of corporate and financial clients.
Position Summary
Research Interns are creative and inquisitive. They use a wide range of research tools to gather intelligence on individuals and companies. The research is then analyzed and developed into a narrative report, which is used by clients to understand the general background of the subject, assess the subject’s legitimacy and reputation, and inform strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Research Interns are key members of the Exiger Diligence research team. Responsibilities include:
- Extensive primary and secondary research using a variety of web-based tools
- Identification of pertinent information and development of useful insights into the subject
- Craft clear and concise narratives from information identified in research
- Assistance with special projects as needed
- Commitment to integrity and thoroughness of research
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Superior comprehension and analytical abilities
- Ability to work in fast-paced and self-driven environment
- Ability to manage and prioritize several projects and assignments simultaneously
- Organizational and time management competency required
- Interest and understanding of current events, international affairs, economics and/or finance
- Interest and fluency/proficiency in a foreign language with a particular emphasis on German, Farsi, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Portuguese or Arabic is a plus
Professional Experience Required
Must be in pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
