The House Democratic Caucus seeks highly motivated press and operations interns to work full-time, in-person in a fast-paced leadership office. These internships are paid opportunities and will run from January through May 2022. Applicants must be able to work from the Washington, DC area for the entire duration of the internship program.
The deadline to apply for both opportunities is November 12, 2021, at 5 pm ET.
Press Internship
Responsibilities
- Compiling daily press clips
- Drafting preparation materials for media hits
- Assisting with press-related events
Qualifications
- Able to write, edit and proofread under tight deadlines
- Can handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Stay on top of the news

Operations Internship
Responsibilities
- Managing front desk and phones
- Providing assistance and support to Democratic Member offices
- Supporting caucus led event planning and logistics
- Maintaining and tracking office expenses
- Interdepartmental projects as assigned
