The National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations is an American non-profit, non-governmental education organization that works to improve American knowledge and understanding of the Arab world. The National Council offers a ten-week internship program that is designed to provide students with professional experience and a rich and varied cross-cultural experience. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the summer 2021 internship program will be operating remotely. This internship opportunity is unpaid.

Responsibilities
- Students are placed with one of over a dozen Near East and Arab region-related organizations with offices in Washington, D.C., where they are expected to work (remotely) 35-40 hours per week under the direct supervision of their host organizations
- Students will also be expected to attend academic seminars twice-weekly to provide them with increased depth of knowledge on Arab regions
- Students receive a virtual behind-the-scenes look at many of the central institutions of the federal government, national security policymaking, international diplomacy, and international business.
