The Atlanta Mayor’s Office is seeking applicants for interns to work in the Office of Immigrant Affairs this summer. The program dates will run from May 26 through August 3, 2022. Interns will receive $15 in compensation.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
Responsibilities
- Provide logistical support in planning and execution of events – including but not limited to, generating quotes, securing vendors, acquiring permits and security clearance, and finding and securing event space
- Prepare program and event materials as required by staff members, including but not limited to, drafting agendas or Run of Shows, designing flyers, preparing informational materials and sign-in sheets, sending out invitations, and drafting VIP scheduling requests
- Assist with the promotion of events and volunteer recruitment
- Represent Welcoming Atlanta at community tabling events and inform people about the office
- Provide Welcoming Atlanta website maintenance and innovative content development
- Design and implement innovative social media posts and outreach strategies
- Provide logistical support for mayoral or advisory council meetings, including but not limited to, taking minutes, preparing the agenda, and securing additional materials
- Assist leadership team in scheduling meeting requests; and
- Other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- 2nd year and above college students with at least one remaining semester
- Minimum overall GPA 3.0 Must attach College Transcript (NO screenshots will be accepted Unofficial Transcript is acceptable)

- Majors: Public Policy, Political Science, International Affairs, Graphic Designing, Legal/Law, Communications, Management, Business, Marketing, other social science majors

- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Authorized to work in the United States of America
- Minimum overall GPA 3.0 Must attach College Transcript (NO screenshots will be accepted Unofficial Transcript is acceptable)
