The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) is a world-leading research organization that provides independent, objective information on military, geopolitical and geo-economic developments that could lead to conflict. The Gerald Segal Research Internship provides an opportunity for a postgraduate student of any nationality to spend three months at the IISS−Asia office in Singapore, working on his or her own research project concerned with an aspect of international relations or international security in the Asia-Pacific region. Simultaneously, the intern will contribute to the activities of the IISS−Asia office, in terms of assisting in research projects and involvement in operational support for meetings including the annual IISS Shangri-La Dialogue and the IISS Fullerton Lecture series.
