The Hamilton National Fellowship (HNF) Washington D.C Internship Grant

About the HNF:

DC internships can be very expensive! Unfortunately, the high cost often dissuades students from applying in the first place. Our club, the Alexander Hamilton Society is offering a fellowship with $3,000 to offset this cost.

The Hamilton National Fellowship (HNF) provides grants to students and recent graduates with summer internships in Washington, DC in the fields of foreign, defense, and economic policy. As part of the fellowship, students will participate in 6 evening seminars on American Grand Strategy, take part in a staff ride to a historic battlefield, and attend briefings with distinguished practitioners on career opportunities in foreign policy and national security. This year, the Alexander Hamilton Society will award $3,000 grants for in-person internships in Washington, DC.

The application for Summer 2023 is now open. The deadline to apply is April 11 but we strongly recommend you apply as soon as you secure your internship as we will begin the interview process early. Please also note that you do not need to have your internship confirmed when you apply. We will announce our Summer 2023 Fellowship recipients by early May.
