APRIL 1 DEADLINE: United Nations Intensive Summer Program

The United Nations Intensive Summer Study Program, designed for graduate students, advanced undergraduates, and mid-career professionals, immerses participants in the political dynamics of the United Nations. This week-long program familiarizes students with the inner workings of the UN by bringing them together with distinguished practitioners working in the field of multilateral diplomacy. Participants attend official sessions at UN Headquarters, such as meetings of the Security Council, as well as briefings at the United Nations Association of the USA and the United Nations Foundation.

The Program will be held from June 5-9, 2017.

Application Checklist

  • Complete Application Form
  • Essay
    Submit a 1-2 page essay (attach to application or printed submission) addressing the following two points:

    • Discuss how the UN Summer Program relates to your current coursework and career goals
    • Discuss what you hope to learn from your participation in the Summer Program
  • Letter of Recommendation
    Download and print the Recommendation Form (PDF) and submit a completed letter of recommendation to the address below.
  • Transcript
    Submit a copy of your academic transcript (attach to application or printed submitted separately) from all colleges and universities listed in your application.

The application deadline is April 1, 2017. It is your responsibility to ensure that the application is complete. Mail completed submission materials to:
