Rotary offers prestigious international scholarships of $30,000 for graduate students pursuing careers in fields that support:
- Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
- Disease prevention and treatment
- Water and sanitation
- Maternal and child health
- Basic education and literacy
- Economic and community development
Applicant Eligibility:
- Proficient in language course of study is instructed in
- Program of study at the graduate level
- Willing to live in immediate vicinity of study institution
- Willing to participate with a host Rotary Club and Rotary District
- Will participate in required pre-departure (Summer 2021) Scholar Orientation Forum in Atlanta Date TBD
- Only for new programs of study – not already underway
- May not be: 1) a Rotarian; 2) an employee of a club, district, or any other Rotary entity; 3) the spouse, lineal descendant, parent, or grandparent of any person in the first 2 groups
- May be a Rotaract member
- Must have legal residence, be employed full time, or be a full-time student in Rotary District 6900
- Must have the endorsement of a District 6900 Rotary Club
- Must be a citizen of the United States of America
The purpose of the Global Grant Scholarship is to forge a link between Rotary and the development of skilled professionals aligned with Rotary International’s Six Areas of Focus. Rotary District 6900 maintains a district level application process which begins with the submission of a written application that requires endorsement by a District 6900 Rotary Club or by a member of the District 6900 Scholarship Committee.
