Athletic Association Tutors

The Athletic Association’s Hearn Academic Center has job openings for academic tutors in the following subjects for the school year 2012-2013. Please note the priority tutoring needs for the Fall 2012 semester:

Biology
Chemistry
Earth & Atmospheric Sciences

History

Physics

Psychology

Sociology

Economics

Math

Business
Public policy
International affairs

Priority Tutoring Needs: ACCT 2101, 2102; MGT 2106, 2250, 3062; EAS 1600, 1601, 2600; PSYC 1101; SOC 1101; ECON 2105, 2106; MATH 1113-2602; POL 1101; SPAN 1001

Requirements include:

You have passed a minimum of 30 college credit hours (exceptions may be granted).
You have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
You have earned B’s, preferably A’s, in the course you wish to tutor.
You provide a resume & written recommendation, preferably from a professor or TA.

You must be available for training T 11:05-11:55 AM for the Fall semester.

Tutoring with the Athletic Association is an excellent way to help other students, ensure your knowledge before graduate or licensure examinations, build your resume, and gain job skills while becoming proficient in your major and earning a little money. Beginning pay for undergraduates is $10.00/hour and $12.00/hour for graduate students.
