Freshmen Convocation 2012

Every fall we hold a Freshman Convocation for incoming students in Economics and International Affairs (EIA), International Affairs (INTA), and International Affairs and Modern Languages (IAML)  that includes a discussion of a book for summer reading.  This year the summer reading is Why Nations Fail ( http://whynationsfail.com/ ).  We invite all INTA, IAML, and EIA students to read the book, join us for food and conversation, and help us welcome the incoming freshmen.

The new Chair of the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, Joseph Bankoff, will be in attendance and he is excited to meet and address the incoming and continuing students.  Many of the Sam Nunn School faculty will also join us, as well as colleagues from the School of Economics and the School of Modern Languages.

The Freshman Convocation will be held in the Neely Room of the Library on Tuesday August 21 at 5 pm.   Please save the date on your calendar and RSVP to Tony Gallego <tony@inta.gatech.edu>.
