The Office of Leadership & Civic Engagement promotes extracurricular involvement and creates an environment where student organizations, their leaders, and their advisors have the resources to develop successful self-sustaining organizations that provide Georgia Tech students with opportunities for leadership, self-exploration, and development of new skills. Additionally, the office sustains the tradition of service at Georgia Tech by serving as a resource for civic engagement initiatives and encouraging student involvement in meaningful and reciprocal service to the community
Events for New Students
Community Connections – August 17th
Service event where students will volunteer to assemble donated goods into kits for delivery to the Atlanta Day Shelter. Examples of kits include Critical Needs Kits, Baby Special Needs Kits, and Laundry Kits. Visit service.gatech.edu for more details.
Into the Streets– August 25th
A freshman day of service sponsored by the student organization, MOVE, that introduces students to community service opportunities in Atlanta. Students will work in small groups on different service projects throughout the city with student leaders in MOVE. Learn more and register online at move.gatech.edu.
R.A.T.S. Week – August 16th – 26th
