On Monday, March 2nd at 7:00, the College Democrats at Georgia Tech are hosting Lieutenant General David Poythress, who is running for Governor in 2010.
General Poythress will be discussing his campaign for Governor and current Georgia state politics, and will be open for questions after his presentation.
General Poythress is a distinguished public servant with a long history of military and civilian service to the state of Georgia. He has served as Georgia Secretary of State, Commissioner of Labor of Georgia, and Deputy State Revenue Commisioner. General Poythress was also the Adjutant General of the Georgia National Guard from 1998 to 2007, being appointed by Roy Barnes and reappointed by Sonny Perdue.
The event will be hosted in the Piedmont Room on the first floor of the Student Center. Admission is free.
