Volunteer/Intern Opportunity with the Latin American Association’s Immigration Law Team

indexThe Domestic Violence Program at the Latin American Association in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking one or two volunteers to help with Spanish to English translations for clients’ cases. The volunteer would have to have a strong grasp of the Spanish language, and be able to translate clients’ statements from Spanish to English; these client statements are an essential component of the petitions our Program files with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for special humanitarian visas that are available to victims of domestic violence and victims of certain other serious crimes.

For more information or if you are interested in volunteering with the Domestic Violence Program at the Latin American Association, please contact VAWA Lead Attorney Jennifer Hamamoto at (404) 248-2203 or jhamamoto@thelaa.org.
