Taste the World Festival 2010

Taste the World Festival is a couple of months away, and we are looking for many eager volunteers! Taste the World is RFS’ annual fundraiser and celebration of the food and cultures represented in Atlanta’s refugee community. The event features culinary tastings from over 25 Atlanta international restaurants, art auction, youth activities, fashion show, and cultural exhibits.
We are now in search of 6 lead volunteers and over 100 eager volunteers who may be interested in helping out the day of the event. We need volunteers to help pick up food, hand out food tastings and other behind-the-scenes tasks. In return, volunteers receive free entry into the festival and a reduced price for “taste” tickets. The three volunteer shifts are from 10am-2pm, 1:30-5pm, or 4:30-6:30 (give or take an hour depending on the position). The positions range from working with food, managing tickets and working with the cultural exhibits.
