Creating Visuals with Impact – Poster Creation Software (InDesign)

For graduate students, one of the main ways of presenting your research is the poster session. In this class, we cover the basics of getting prepared to visually represent your research or data at a professional or academic conference. The class will cover the planning process, including: layout, headings, working with text and graphics, preparing for large format printing, and getting familiar with software packages that could aid you in creating your poster, such as Adobe InDesign CS5. We will also cover preparing posters for printing on the library’s large format printer.
