Volunteers Needed to Tutor at the International Community School

Give your time and gain personal development, friendship and more at the International Community School (ISC).  The ISC is an elementary school for refugee and immigrant students.  This spring, the ISC is looking for GA Tech students to volunteer and to assist the school’s 5th grade students with their annual exhibit.

The exhibit’s trans-disciplinary theme is “Sharing the Planet” which will focus on the central idea that humanity is constantly struggling to resolve conflicts.  The students will be broken up into groups of 4-5 students.  Each group will create a project that explores this theme.  Upon completion, the groups will display their projects.

The project is student driven, but ICS needs volunteers to mentor each group.  The mentors will facilitate the group discussions and guide the students as they pick a project and display.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Deanna Lilly at deanna.lilly@intcomschool.org
